We've applied to the government for a broadcasting license to bring Christian radio to the greater Vancouver area.
We need your help to be approved to bring radio that's safe and fun for the whole family to Vancouver.
We need you to intervene on our behalf and tell the CRTC that you support having this station in Vancouver.
This can be done at the CRTC website. We've made some printable instructions for you to help guide you through the process.
If you're not sure what to say to the CRTC when you fill out the form on their website here are some example letters.
I am a mother of two children who are under the age of 8 years old. With all the negative things that are happening in our world, I want my children to grow up with a positive outlook on life.
I find that a radio station like the one that Touch Canada Broadcasting (2006) Inc. (application 2007-1020-4) is proposing is the one for my kids and me. It plays music that is full of love and hope and they promise that the whole station will be "safe and fun for the whole family".
There is not one station yet that is like that in the Vancouver market except for one that is from the United States.
Could we please have this station that is Canadian and that is for my family?

I am writing in support for application 2007-1020-4 the radio station that Touch Canada (2006) Inc. is applying for in the Vancouver market.
I am sixteen years old and Barlow Girls is my favorite group and they are played on none of the radio stations in the Vancouver market. Once and awhile I can hear them on a US station when I am in the Abbottsford area, but here at North Vancouver I can’t.
When I visit my cousins in Calgary, Alberta I am listening to 88.9 Shine FM all the time. We need this kind of radio station in Vancouver.
There is no Canadian radio station in Vancouver playing my favorite music today. Shine FM by Touch Canada would, so please consider giving them a licence to broadcast in Vancouver.

I used to listen to 106.5 Praise radio station from the US, but now that they had to reduce their power, I can’t get them anymore.
We had thousand of people write into the CRTC and yet we lost our favorite radio station.
Shine FM 104.1 would be the Canadian solution to this problem. They would become my station that I would listen too.
I understand that this may be our last chance to have such a station in the Vancouver area, please give them this licence.

We are interesting in advertising on a station that is trying to reach out to the whole family as they are proposing. We also like how they reach out to charities within the communities of Edmonton, Calgary and now Grande Prairie, Alberta
We used to advertise on Praise 106.5, but now that they have reduced power, they can no longer reach the audience that we are looking for. Touch Canada’s station would reach this audience.
